Deb has always had a passion for technology. In 1981 when IBM needed testers for their fist PC running DOS, Deb was one of the first to get one. When networking and digital commmunication were at their infancy, Deb was one of the first certified ethernet engineers and a beta user of Compuserve and Prodigy for email. When the phone company decided to offer their high-speed ISDN lines for home users, Deb was an early subscriber. When Time Warner and Roadrunner decided to introduce high speed internet via cable networks, Deb's home network was the first in town to get it. Don't call her a nerd, just know when it comes to the internet, web and business, she's seen it grow from the beginning and "she gets it".In 2003, Deb was the recipient of the San Diego Business Journal's "Women Who Mean Business" award for her many years helping San Diego companies grow. |
In 2004, Deb was a key contributor to the New York Times technology article "Living The Broadband Life" for being one of the country's pioneers in leveraging Internet technologies. |
In 2005, Deb helped CSTV.com grow to become the #1 online resource for college sports information. In 2006 CBS acquired CSTV and then in 2008 CSTV became part of the CBS College Sports family which includes more than 250 Official School Athletic sites. Deb worked with their internet and technology teams to assure the success of this exciting acquisition. |
